Student Payment Policy

How it works
GradeBoost uses Stripe for the processing of all transactions. We use this third party company to ensure that all payment information is 100% secure. Your payment information is collected when you confirm your appointment and will be charged for the entire amount at that time. We hold the funds until your session has been completed. Any cancellation made by the tutor will result in a full refund back to your account. You are required to pay for your session through the GradeBoost website before meeting with your tutor. All funds will be held until the session is complete. Any cancellation by the tutor will result in a full refund to you.

Paying through GradeBoost
Booking and paying through GradeBoost is required. We guarantee your satisfaction, so by paying through GradeBoost we can make sure you are getting the service that you need.

Payments and fees
There is a flat rate of $25.00 for each hour long session of tutoring. If you have completed your session, but would like to add more time, you must request the tutor for one more hour so that they will be paid.

Cancellations
Please note: IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CANCEL YOUR SESSION IF YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND. To cancel your appointment, you must click the “cancel appointment” button on the student appointment page. Any cancellation made by the tutor will always result in a full refund to the student. If the tutor does not cancel and does not show up to the appointment, please notify us immediately and we will refund the cost of the session back to your account. As a student, you will have up to 12 hours before the ending date on your request to cancel. If you cancel within this time period you will be charged a $5.00 fee. This is still applicable if you book a session that will take place within 12 hours of the time you confirm the appointment. If you do not cancel your appointment and do not show up, you will be charged the full amount of the tutoring session.

We understand that banking information is extremely sensitive, so use this third party company to ensure that all processing is 100% secure. We do not store this information in our own database. We collect payment information from the student when they confirm their appointment and charge them the full amount at that time. We hold all funds until their session has been completed. The tutor is responsible for making sure that the student has paid through www.mygradeboost.com before marking the session as complete. Any cancellation made by you will result in a full refund back to the student.

Getting paid through GradeBoost
To be paid through Stripe, you must create a Stripe account in the “My Profile” tab once you have logged in. Booking and paying through GradeBoost is required. Never accept cash or checks as payment—this can expose you to fraud and get your account flagged for suspension.

Payments
Payments If all conditions are met, you will be paid $20.00 for each hour long session of tutoring. If you have completed your session, but the student would like to add more time, the student must request you for one more hour in order to get paid. Funds will automatically be deposited into your bank account within 7 business days of your completed session.

Cancellations
Please note: IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CANCEL YOUR SESSION IF YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND. If you need to cancel an appointment, first notify your student and second click the “cancel appointment” button on the Tutor Appointments page. Any cancellation made by the tutor will always result in a full refund to the student. If you do not cancel and fail to show up to your scheduled appointment, you will receive one penalty point. If you receive 2 penalty points your account will be indefinitely suspended. You will only be paid if the session has been completed. You will not be paid for any cancellation made by the student.

Ratings
After each tutoring session, the student will have the option to rate their session. Your overall and individual class ratings will be displayed on your public profile. We hold all rights to take away your eligibility to tutor in a specific class and/or suspend your account indefinitely if your ratings do not match the quality we are looking for in the tutoring services we provide.
